Newton Faulkner in Gloucester

Newton Faulkner is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Surrey in 1985. His acoustic folk-rock is marked by percussive guitar playing and live looping. He became known through the 2007 album Hand Built by Robots, which reached No. 1 in the UK, and songs including “Dream Catch Me” and his cover of Massive Attack’s “Teardrop.” Newton Faulkner has toured Britain repeatedly as a solo headliner, playing clubs and theatres with acoustic guitar, vocals, percussion and loop pedals. His larger-stage appearances have included Glastonbury Festival and the Isle of Wight Festival.
