Nile Rodgers & CHIC in Haywards Heath

Nile Rodgers & CHIC is the touring incarnation of the American funk and disco band CHIC, formed in New York in 1976 by guitarist Nile Rodgers and bassist Bernard Edwards. The group is known for “Le Freak,” “Good Times,” “Everybody Dance” and “I Want Your Love,” while Rodgers also built an extensive catalogue as a songwriter and producer. CHIC performed on the West Holts Stage at Glastonbury Festival in 2013, then returned for the Pyramid Stage in 2017. Nile Rodgers & CHIC later appeared as special guests on the European leg of Cher’s Here We Go Again Tour in 2019 and joined Duran Duran’s Future Past Tour in North America in 2023. Rodgers leads a full band from guitar, and the set combines CHIC recordings with songs from his production and collaboration catalogue. That repertoire includes Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family,” Diana Ross’s “I’m Coming Out,” David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance” and “Get Lucky,” recorded with Daft Punk.
