Nitzer Ebb in Portland

Nitzer Ebb is an English electronic group formed in Chelmsford in 1982. Their forceful electronic body music is represented by the album That Total Age and tracks including “Join in the Chant,” “Murderous” and “Control I’m Here.” Later albums include Belief, Showtime and Ebbhead. In 1987 and 1988, Nitzer Ebb supported Depeche Mode on the Music for the Masses Tour, bringing their programmed rhythms and shouted vocals to arena audiences. After re-forming in 2006, they resumed club and festival performances, then opened selected 2009 dates on Depeche Mode’s Tour of the Universe.
