Noam Pikelny in Rockport

Noam Pikelny is an American banjoist and singer-songwriter, born in Chicago in 1981, who plays bluegrass and progressive acoustic music. He is best known as a founding member of Punch Brothers. His solo catalogue includes Beat the Devil and Carry a Rail, the Grammy-winning Noam Pikelny Plays Kenny Baker Plays Bill Monroe and Universal Favorite. Noam Pikelny toured with Leftover Salmon and the John Cowan Band before co-founding Punch Brothers in 2006. With that group, he has performed at Carnegie Hall and the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. He has also played headline concerts under his own name and toured with Mighty Poplar.
