Noname in Los Angeles

Noname is an American rapper and poet born in Chicago in 1991. Her conversational, jazz-rooted hip-hop first reached a wide audience through the mixtape Telefone, followed by the albums Room 25 and Sundial. Her best-known tracks include “Diddy Bop,” “Blaxploitation” and “Song 33.” In 2017, Noname performed at Coachella and recorded an NPR Tiny Desk Concert backed by a live band. She appeared at Pitchfork Music Festival the next year and then took Room 25 on a North American tour in 2019.
