Nonpoint & Hed P.E. in Kansas City

Nonpoint is an American hard-rock and alternative-metal band formed in Fort Lauderdale in 1997. Led by vocalist Elias Soriano and drummer Robb Rivera, the group is known for songs including “What a Day” and “Bullet with a Name,” as well as its cover of Phil Collins’s “In the Air Tonight.” Its albums include Statement and To the Pain. Nonpoint played Ozzfest in 2001 during the touring cycle for Statement. The band later documented its stage set on the concert release Live and Kicking, then performed on multiple editions of ShipRocked.

Hed P.E. is an American rap-rock band formed in Huntington Beach, California, in 1994. Their music draws on rap metal, punk and reggae, and they are known for the albums Broke and Blackout, as well as the songs “Bartender” and “Blackout.” In 2000, the band performed on the Tattoo the Earth tour, which also featured Slayer, Slipknot, Sepultura and Sevendust. The following year brought an appearance on Ozzfest, placing their rap-heavy metal sound within another major touring festival.
