Nothin' Fancy is an American bluegrass band formed in Lexington, Virginia, in 1994. The group plays traditional bluegrass with country and gospel material, and its recorded repertoire includes “Andersonville” and “I Met My Mother in Heaven Last Night.” The musicians first assembled for a bluegrass competition before taking the group onto the touring circuit. Their live history includes performances at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and Lincoln Center in New York. Since 2001, they have also hosted the Nothin' Fancy Bluegrass Festival in Buena Vista, Virginia.
