NRBQ in Alexandria

NRBQ is an American rock band formed in 1966 and led by keyboardist and co-founder Terry Adams. Its music draws on rock and roll, rhythm and blues, jazz, country and power pop; key recordings include “Ridin’ in My Car,” “Me and the Boys,” Scraps and At Yankee Stadium. A 1970 performance at Cincinnati’s Ludlow Garage was later released as a live album. The band’s club history was further documented by Live at the Wax Museum, recorded in Washington, D.C., and God Bless Us All, recorded at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel in Providence. NRBQ performs as a full band and is known for changing its set from night to night. A long-running concert tradition is the Magic Box, which lets randomly drawn audience requests determine songs during the show.
