of Montreal is an American indie-pop project founded by Kevin Barnes in Athens, Georgia, in 1996 and associated with the Elephant 6 collective. Its catalog moves through psychedelic pop, glam rock, funk and electronic music, with Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer? and Skeletal Lamping among its best-known albums. Key songs include “Wraith Pinned to the Mist and Other Games,” “Gronlandic Edit” and “The Past Is a Grotesque Animal.” At a 2008 concert at New York’s Roseland Ballroom, Barnes entered on a white horse during the Skeletal Lamping period. Two years later, of Montreal toured North America behind False Priest on a joint run with Janelle Monáe.

Sloppy Jane is an American experimental rock project formed in Los Angeles and led by singer, songwriter and performance artist Haley Dahl. Its catalog ranges across art punk and orchestral pop, including the albums The Last Day of the End of the World and Madison; the latter was recorded inside Lost World Caverns in West Virginia. In 2021, Sloppy Jane supported Phoebe Bridgers on selected dates of the Reunion Tour. The band followed those theatre and outdoor-stage appearances with its own performances behind Madison, including a 2022 set at Chicago’s Pitchfork Music Festival.
