Omari Banks in Cambridge

Omari Banks is an Anguillan reggae singer-songwriter and former West Indies Test cricketer. The son of musician Bankie Banx, he began his recording career with the album Move On, which includes “No Point to Prove,” recorded with Peetah Morgan. Omari Banks toured Europe and North America in support of Move On, then opened for Morgan Heritage on the band’s Strictly Roots tour. Those dates placed his own reggae catalogue before audiences already familiar with the Morgan family’s work. His festival appearances have included Moonsplash in Anguilla and Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay.
