The Weather Girls in Bremen

The Weather Girls are an American pop and disco vocal group founded by Martha Wash and Izora Armstead, who had previously performed as Two Tons O’ Fun. They are best known for the 1982 dance single “It’s Raining Men,” written by Paul Jabara and Paul Shaffer and included on the album Success. Martha Wash and Izora Armstead toured as backing vocalists for disco singer Sylvester before adopting The Weather Girls name. Sylvester’s 1979 concert album Living Proof captured their performance at the War Memorial Opera House in San Francisco.
