Oneida in Philadelphia

Oneida is an American experimental rock band formed in Brooklyn in 1997. Its music draws on psychedelic rock, noise rock, drone and insistent repetition; key albums include Each One Teach One, Secret Wars and the three-part Thank Your Parents series, completed by Rated O and Absolute II. Oneida brought its Ocropolis project to All Tomorrow’s Parties New York in 2009 for a marathon improvised performance that unfolded across much of the festival day. The event took place at Kutsher’s Country Club in Monticello. The group performs with drums, electric guitars, keyboards and vocals, often extending repeated figures into long improvisations.
