Opeth in Dublin

Opeth is a Swedish progressive metal band formed in Stockholm in 1990 and led by singer, guitarist and principal songwriter Mikael Åkerfeldt. Their music has moved through progressive death metal, acoustic rock and 1970s-rooted progressive rock. Blackwater Park, Damnation and Ghost Reveries are among the albums most closely associated with the band. The Evolution XX anniversary concert brought Opeth to the Royal Albert Hall in 2010, where they performed Blackwater Park in full before a second set covering other parts of their catalogue. They co-headlined the North American Heritage Hunter Tour with Mastodon in 2012. Their 2017 concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre also featured Gojira and Devin Townsend Project and was filmed for release as Garden of the Titans.
