Artist
Origin is an American technical death metal band formed in Topeka, Kansas, in 1997 by guitarists Paul Ryan and Jeremy Turner. Its music centers on rapid riffing, abrupt rhythmic shifts and John Longstreth’s highly technical drumming. Informis Infinitas Inhumanitas, Antithesis and Entity are key albums in its catalogue. Origin played its first concert in 1998, opening for Suffocation. Following its self-titled debut, it joined the Death Across America tour with Vader, Cephalic Carnage and Dying Fetus. It later toured behind Informis Infinitas Inhumanitas with Gorguts, Cryptopsy and Nile.
