Orup in Uppsala

Orup is the stage name of Thomas Eriksson, a Swedish pop singer and songwriter born in 1958. He became known through late-1980s and 1990s songs including “Jag blir hellre jagad av vargar,” “Då står pojkarna på rad,” “Regn hos mig,” “Stockholm” and “Magaluf.” He also wrote “Det gör ont” for Lena Philipsson. In 2004, he and Lena Philipsson opened their joint stage show at Chinateatern in Stockholm. A decade later, his solo production Viva la Pop ran at Hamburger Börs. In 2017, he reunited with Anders Glenmark and Niklas Strömstedt for GES concerts at Borgholm Castle.
