Pablo Ruiz in Mexico City

Pablo Ruiz is an Argentine pop singer born in Buenos Aires in 1975. He first became known as the child performer Pablito Ruiz, appearing on the television program Festilindo before recording solo hits including “Oh mamá, ella me ha besado,” “Mi chica ideal” and “Cachetada.” As a teenage singer, he performed at the Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar as his early records found audiences across Latin America. In later years, he has presented his 1980s and 1990s repertoire at retro-pop concerts in Mexico.
