Passenger in The City of Brighton and Hove

Passenger is the recording name of English singer-songwriter Michael Rosenberg, born in Brighton in 1984. Passenger began as a folk-rock band in 2003; after the group dissolved, Rosenberg kept the name for his solo work. His best-known song, “Let Her Go,” appeared on the album All the Little Lights, while later records include Whispers and Young as the Morning Old as the Sea. After the original band ended in 2009, he built his solo audience by busking and playing small venues in England and Australia. He opened for Ed Sheeran on a North American tour in 2012, then moved into his own international theatre tours. Touring behind Whispers included a 2015 concert at the Sydney Opera House.
