Patty Griffin in New Orleans

Patty Griffin is an American singer-songwriter born in Old Town, Maine, in 1964. She writes contemporary folk and Americana shaped by country, gospel and rock, and is known for albums including Living with Ghosts, 1000 Kisses and Downtown Church. Her songs include “Heavenly Day,” “Rain” and “Top of the World,” the last of which was also recorded by The Chicks. In 1997, Griffin performed as part of Lilith Fair. She later joined Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch, David Rawlings and Buddy Miller for the 2004 Sweet Harmony Traveling Revue. After recording with Robert Plant on the 2010 album Band of Joy, she toured as a vocalist in his group of the same name.
