Penny and Sparrow in Pioneertown

Penny and Sparrow is an American folk duo formed in Austin by Andy Baxter and Kyle Jahnke. Their close vocal harmonies and acoustic songwriting run through albums including Tenboom, Let a Lover Drown You, Wendigo and Finch; their songs include “Eloise,” “Duet” and “Don’t Wanna Be Without Ya.” In 2017, Penny and Sparrow performed an NPR Tiny Desk Concert, presenting their songs through paired voices and guitar. The concert release Live in Texas later documented the duo’s theatre show at Austin’s Paramount Theatre.
