Pert Near Sandstone is an American bluegrass and Americana band formed in Minneapolis in 2004. Its music is built around fiddle, banjo, guitar and upright bass, and its catalog includes the albums Paradise Hop, The Hardest Part of Leaving, Discovery of Honey and Waiting Days. Pert Near Sandstone has played hometown rooms including First Avenue and toured the US bluegrass and roots circuit. In 2015, the band founded the Blue Ox Music Festival, an annual gathering that established a recurring live home for the group in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
