Peter Bernstein in Reutlingen

Peter Bernstein is an American jazz guitarist, born in New York City in 1967, known for post-bop playing rooted in the jazz tradition. His recordings as a leader include Signs LIVE! and Monk, while his extensive sideman work includes collaborations with Lou Donaldson and Sonny Rollins. He is also a member of the long-running organ trio with Larry Goldings and Bill Stewart. Jim Hall invited Peter Bernstein to perform at the JVC Jazz Festival early in the guitarist’s career. A weekly engagement at Augie’s Jazz Bar then established his trio partnership with Goldings and Stewart, which went on to perform internationally and make several records. Peter Bernstein has also led guitar trios and quartets at the Village Vanguard.
