POLIÇA in Löchgau

POLIÇA is an American electronic band formed in Minneapolis in 2011 by singer Channy Leaneagh and producer Ryan Olson. The group’s synth-pop sound, layered vocals and double-drummer rhythms were established on the debut album Give You the Ghost, which includes “Lay Your Cards Out” and “Dark Star,” and developed further on Shulamith, United Crushers and When We Stay Alive. In 2012, POLIÇA performed at SXSW and recorded a Tiny Desk Concert for NPR Music during the touring cycle for Give You the Ghost. The band then brought that material to larger festival audiences, including Coachella in 2013. POLIÇA performs as a full band, built around Leaneagh’s vocals, bass, electronics and two drum kits. The interlocking percussion supports the layered voice of Channy Leaneagh.
