Bipul Chettri is an Indian singer-songwriter from Kalimpong who writes Nepali-language folk and folk rock. His 2014 debut album, Sketches of Darjeeling, introduced songs including “Asaar” and “Wildfire (Dadhelo)”; later releases include the album Maya and the song “Syndicate.” Bipul Chettri performs with the Travelling Band, which brings acoustic guitar, folk instrumentation and a rock rhythm section to his concert arrangements. He has performed this repertoire for audiences in New Delhi and Kathmandu.
