Kevin Saunderson in New York

Kevin Saunderson is an American electronic-music producer and DJ, born in Brooklyn in 1964 and raised in Belleville, Michigan. Alongside Juan Atkins and Derrick May, he became known as one of the Belleville Three, the trio associated with Detroit techno’s early development. His catalog includes “Big Fun” and “Good Life” with Inner City, the Reese project’s “Just Want Another Chance,” and the E-Dancer album Heavenly. Movement in Detroit has repeatedly featured Kevin Saunderson in DJ sets, keeping his live work tied to the city where his records took shape. He has also brought that format to clubs and dance festivals abroad, including Awakenings in the Netherlands.
