Queensrÿche is an American progressive metal band formed in Bellevue, Washington, in 1982. The concept album Operation: Mindcrime established the group’s narrative approach, while Empire produced the songs “Silent Lucidity” and “Jet City Woman.” Queensrÿche supported Metallica on North American dates of the Damaged Justice tour in 1989. The subsequent Building Empires tour included complete performances of Operation: Mindcrime, documented on Operation: Livecrime. In 2006, the band performed both Mindcrime albums as a theatrical production at Seattle’s Moore Theatre, captured for Mindcrime at the Moore.
Slaughter is an American hard-rock and glam-metal band formed in Las Vegas in 1988 by vocalist and guitarist Mark Slaughter and bassist Dana Strum. The debut album Stick It to Ya established the group through songs including “Up All Night,” “Fly to the Angels” and “Spend My Life.” In 1990, Slaughter opened arena shows on Kiss’s Hot in the Shade Tour. The band later joined Rock Never Stops package tours and has performed at Maryland’s M3 Rock Festival.
