R.A. The Rugged Man in Troy

R.A. The Rugged Man is an American rapper from Long Island, New York, born Richard Andrew Thorburn in 1974. His hardcore East Coast hip-hop is heard across the albums Die, Rugged Man, Die, Legends Never Die and All My Heroes Are Dead. He is also known for his guest verse on Jedi Mind Tricks’ “Uncommon Valor: A Vietnam Story,” written from the perspective of his father’s experience in the Vietnam War. R.A. The Rugged Man toured clubs in North America and Europe in support of Legends Never Die, then returned to the road after All My Heroes Are Dead. His festival appearances have included the Gathering of the Juggalos in the United States and Hip Hop Kemp in the Czech Republic.
