Rainhard Fendrich in St. Margerethen

Rainhard Fendrich is an Austrian singer-songwriter and actor, born in Vienna in 1955, whose German-language pop and rock is closely associated with Austropop. He is known for songs including “Strada del Sole,” “Es lebe der Sport,” “Macho Macho” and “I Am from Austria.” In 1997, Fendrich joined Wolfgang Ambros and Georg Danzer to create Austria 3 for a benefit concert supporting homeless people. The project then became a touring act and played concerts across Austria and Germany until 2006.
