Renato Teixeira in Belo Horizonte

Renato Teixeira is a Brazilian singer-songwriter, born in Santos in 1945, whose music draws on música caipira, folk and MPB. “Romaria” became widely known through Elis Regina’s recording, while “Tocando em Frente,” written with Almir Sater, and “Frete” are central songs in his catalogue. The Amizade Sincera live project paired him with Sérgio Reis in a joint concert recorded for album and DVD, and a second volume later extended the collaboration. His collaborative albums AR and +AR also provided the repertoire for duo concerts with Almir Sater.
