Rick Estrin & The Nightcats in Evanston

Rick Estrin & The Nightcats is an American electric-blues band formed in California in 2008, when singer and harmonica player Rick Estrin carried on with members of Little Charlie & The Nightcats after guitarist Little Charlie Baty retired from touring. The group is known for Estrin’s vocals, harmonica and character-driven songwriting on albums including Twisted, Groovin’ in Greaseland and Contemporary. When Baty left the road, Estrin and the remaining Nightcats took the new billing into blues clubs and festivals across North America and Europe. Their concerts use an electric quartet format: Estrin handles lead vocals and harmonica, and Christoffer “Kid” Andersen plays guitar.
