Rock meets Classic is a German concert series that brings classic- and hard-rock singers together with the Mat Sinner Band and the Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague. Its programmes arrange songs including “Smoke on the Water,” “School’s Out” and “The Final Countdown” for rock band, orchestra and choir. The first Rock meets Classic tour took place in 2010. Alice Cooper led the 2014 edition, Ian Gillan followed in 2015, and Joey Tempest fronted the production in 2016. Munich performances have been staged at Olympiahalle, while Frankfurt shows have used Festhalle. The production has also returned to Arena Nürnberger Versicherung in Nuremberg and Rudolf Weber-Arena in Oberhausen.
