Rodney Crowell in Fall River

Rodney Crowell is an American country singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Houston in 1950. Waylon Jennings recorded his “Ain’t Living Long Like This,” while Bob Seger recorded “Shame on the Moon.” Crowell’s own best-known work includes the album Diamonds & Dirt and the songs “After All This Time,” “She’s Crazy for Leavin’” and “I Couldn’t Leave You If I Tried.” In the late 1970s, he toured as a guitarist and harmony singer in Emmylou Harris’s Hot Band. He later led the Cherry Bombs, a road band whose members included Vince Gill and Tony Brown. In 2013, he and Emmylou Harris toured behind Old Yellow Moon, then returned to the road together following The Traveling Kind in 2015.
