Rodrigo Cuevas in San Ildefonso

Rodrigo Cuevas is a Spanish singer, composer and performance artist born in Oviedo in 1985. He draws on Asturian folk song and traditional dance while using electronic rhythms, cabaret and contemporary choreography. His recorded work includes the albums Manual de Cortejo and Manual de Romería, and songs such as “Rambalín” and “Más animal.” Trópico de Covadonga toured as a theatrical concert before he took Manual de Cortejo to theatres and festivals. He later developed La Romería around the repertoire of Manual de Romería, extending his concert format through dance, costume and Asturian musical traditions.
