Sasha in Chicago

Sasha is a Welsh DJ and producer, born in Bangor in 1969, whose work spans progressive house, trance and breakbeat. His partnership with John Digweed produced the mix albums Renaissance: The Mix Collection and Northern Exposure, while his solo catalogue includes “Xpander” and the album Airdrawndagger. In 1993, Sasha and John Digweed became resident DJs at Renaissance at Venue 44 in Mansfield. They later held a monthly residency at Twilo in New York and reunited for the Delta Heavy tour of the United States in 2002, bringing long-form progressive DJ sets into large concert spaces. His appearances have reached well beyond Britain: Fabric has hosted him in London, and he has performed at Coachella in Indio.
