Artist
Save Ferris is an American ska-punk band formed in Orange County, California, in 1995 and fronted by singer Monique Powell. The group is best known for its horn-driven cover of Dexys Midnight Runners’ “Come On Eileen,” included on the album It Means Everything, and for songs including “The World Is New” and “Goodbye.” The follow-up album Modified moved toward pop-rock while retaining the band’s ska rhythms and brass. Save Ferris opened for Sugar Ray and performed on the Vans Warped Tour after the release of It Means Everything. Following a lengthy break, Monique Powell revived the group for a 2013 show at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles.
