Scissor Sisters in Ludlow

Scissor Sisters are an American band formed in New York City in 2001, playing dance-pop and rock shaped by disco, glam and electronic music. Their self-titled debut featured “Laura,” “Take Your Mama” and a disco-styled version of Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb”; the follow-up album Ta-Dah produced “I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’.” In 2005, Scissor Sisters performed at Live 8 in London’s Hyde Park after touring extensively behind their debut. The Ta-Dah Tour moved the band into arenas, followed by the Night Work Tour and a 2010 return to the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival. Their next album cycle was presented on the Magic Hour Tour. The United Kingdom has hosted much of the band’s arena and festival work. Scissor Sisters have also toured theatres and clubs in the United States, while their album tours have extended to Australia.
