Artist
Selda Bağcan is a Turkish singer, songwriter and guitarist, born in Muğla in 1948. Her music brings Anatolian folk songs and politically charged lyrics into a rock setting; “İnce İnce Bir Kar Yağar,” “Yaz Gazeteci Yaz” and “Adaletin Bu mu Dünya” are among her best-known recordings. Her 2015 Boiler Room Istanbul performance documented her live collaboration with Israeli psychedelic-rock band Boom Pam. The pairing later appeared at major European events, including Primavera Sound and Glastonbury Festival in 2016.
