Semicenk & Yıldız Tilbe in Istanbul

Semicenk is the stage name of Turkish pop singer and songwriter Cenk Baş, who was born in Ordu in 1998. His music draws on arabesk and contemporary pop, and he became known for songs including “Düşer Aklıma,” “Al Sevgilim,” “Pişman Değilim” and the Rast collaboration “Canın Sağ Olsun.” Semicenk has headlined the Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre in Istanbul, performing the singles that established his repertoire. He has also performed at Istanbul Festival.

Yıldız Tilbe is a Turkish singer-songwriter, born in İzmir in 1966, whose music draws on pop and arabesk. Her 1994 debut album, Delikanlım, introduced its widely known title song; her repertoire also includes “Vazgeçtim,” “Haberi Olsun” and “Çabuk Olalım Aşkım.” Yıldız Tilbe began performing in nightclubs before moving to Istanbul and working as a backing vocalist for Sezen Aksu. After establishing her solo catalogue, she went on to headline major concert halls and open-air stages, including Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre.
