Artist
Şevval Sam is a Turkish singer and actor, born in Istanbul in 1973. Her music draws on Black Sea folk, Turkish classical music, arabesk and tango; albums including Karadeniz, Has Arabesk, Tango and Nanninom established the breadth of her recorded repertoire. Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre in Istanbul has hosted her in concert more than once. She performs with a band, moving between regional folk songs and arrangements drawn from her arabesk, tango and Turkish classical projects. Her open-air appearances have also included Bodrum Antique Theatre.
