Shane McAnally in Sellersville

Shane McAnally is an American country songwriter, producer and singer, born in Mineral Wells, Texas, in 1974. After releasing a self-titled solo album, he became best known for co-writing Kacey Musgraves’ “Merry Go ’Round” and “Follow Your Arrow,” Kenny Chesney’s “American Kids” and Sam Hunt’s “Body Like a Back Road.” His production and songwriting credits also include Musgraves’ Same Trailer Different Park and Hunt’s Montevallo. Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival has featured McAnally in Nashville songwriter rounds, where writers perform and discuss songs from their catalogues. In 2023, another part of his work reached the stage when Shucked, featuring music and lyrics by McAnally and Brandy Clark, opened on Broadway at the Nederlander Theatre.
