Sherine in El Alamein

Sherine is an Egyptian pop singer and actress, born in Cairo in 1980. She became known through “Ah Ya Leil” and built a catalogue of Arabic pop songs and romantic ballads that includes “Sabri Aleel,” “Mashaa’er” and “Kalam Eineh,” as well as the albums Garh Tani and Nassay. At Mawazine in Rabat in 2016, she performed on the festival’s Nahda stage before appearing later that year at the Baalbeck International Festival in Lebanon. The following year, she returned to a major North African festival stage for a concert at the Carthage International Festival in Tunisia.
