Silly in Magdeburg

Silly is a German rock band formed in East Berlin in 1977, initially under the name Familie Silly. Fronted during its best-known period by Tamara Danz, the group found a wide audience in East Germany through albums including Mont Klamott, Bataillon d’Amour and Februar, and songs such as “Mont Klamott” and “Bataillon d’Amour.” During the 1980s, Silly toured extensively in East Germany, playing concert halls and open-air stages. The band began performing with Anna Loos as frontwoman in the following decade and returned to sustained touring, including the Alles Rot tour after the 2010 album and the Wutfänger tour in 2016.
