Sílvia Pérez Cruz in Barcelona

Sílvia Pérez Cruz is a Spanish singer and composer born in Palafrugell, Catalonia, in 1983. A co-founder and former vocalist of the flamenco group Las Migas, she works across Catalan folk, flamenco, jazz, fado and canción. Her solo catalogue includes 11 de novembre, Granada, recorded with guitarist and producer Raül Refree, Vestida de nit and Toda la vida, un día; she also wrote and performed “No hay tanto pan” for the film Cerca de tu casa. Her concerts with Raül Refree presented their repertoire as a voice-and-guitar duo. In 2017, she performed a Tiny Desk Concert at NPR, then took the Vestida de nit project into theatres with a string quintet; she later presented Toda la vida, un día at Teatro Real in Madrid.
