Sir Mix-A-Lot is an American rapper and producer from Seattle, born Anthony Ray in 1963. He became known for “Posse on Broadway” and “Baby Got Back,” the latter appearing on the album Mack Daddy and earning him the Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance. At the Seattle Symphony’s 2014 Sonic Evolution concert, he performed “Baby Got Back” at Benaroya Hall and invited women from the audience to dance onstage during the song. Ludovic Morlot conducted the orchestra for the collaboration.
