Artist
Soulection is an American independent record label, radio show and artist collective founded in Los Angeles in 2011 by Joe Kay. It presents electronic beat music, hip-hop and R&B under its “Sound of Tomorrow” banner, and is known for Soulection Radio and releases by producers including Sango, ESTA and Sam Gellaitry. Boiler Room documented the collective’s party format in a session led by Joe Kay and artists from the Soulection circle. The collective developed these gatherings into touring label showcases and anniversary events built around successive DJ sets, and it has repeatedly presented that multi-artist format in London.
