Southern Avenue is an American blues and soul band formed in Memphis in 2015, playing gospel-rooted soul, blues and rock. The group released its self-titled debut through Stax Records in 2017; the follow-up Keep On received a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Album, and Be the Love You Want extended its catalogue. “Don’t Give Up” is among its best-known songs. Southern Avenue has performed at Bonnaroo and the Beale Street Music Festival, while its touring has also reached clubs and festivals in Europe. The group performs as a full band led by the voice of Tierinii Jackson, the guitar of Ori Naftaly and the drums and vocals of Tikyra Jackson.
