Artist
St. Lucia is a Brooklyn-based synth-pop project created by South African musician Jean-Philip Grobler. The debut album When the Night introduced songs including “Elevate” and “Closer Than This”; later releases include Matter, Hyperion and Utopia. St. Lucia opened for Two Door Cinema Club on a North American tour in 2012, then supported Ellie Goulding the following year as When the Night arrived. Headline club and theatre tours followed for Matter and Hyperion, presented by a full band built around Grobler and vocalist-keyboardist Patti Beranek. The group has also performed at Governors Ball in New York and Coachella in Indio.
