Artists
Static-X is an American industrial metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1994. The group became known through the 1999 debut album Wisconsin Death Trip, including “Push It” and “I’m with Stupid,” and followed it with Machine and the single “Cold.” Wayne Static’s clipped vocals, down-tuned guitars and programmed electronics established the band’s central sound. Static-X appeared on Ozzfest in 1999 and joined the Family Values Tour in 2001. After Wayne Static’s death in 2014, original members Tony Campos, Koichi Fukuda and Ken Jay returned to the stage for the Wisconsin Death Trip 20th Anniversary Tour in 2019, fronted by the masked vocalist Xer0. The later Rise of the Machine Tour paired Static-X with Fear Factory and Dope.
Dope is an American industrial-metal band formed in New York City in 1997 by vocalist Edsel Dope. The debut album Felons and Revolutionaries featured “Debonaire” and a cover of Dead or Alive’s “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record),” while Life included “Die MF Die.” In 2019, Dope joined Static-X’s Wisconsin Death Trip 20th Anniversary Tour, a North American run that also included DevilDriver and Wednesday 13. The band returned to the road with Static-X and Fear Factory for the Rise of the Machine Tour in 2023, then supported Static-X and Sevendust on the Machine Killer Tour later that year.
