Stokley in Cincinnati

Stokley is an American R&B and soul singer, songwriter, drummer and percussionist from Saint Paul, Minnesota. He first became known as the lead vocalist of Mint Condition, whose catalog includes “Breakin’ My Heart (Pretty Brown Eyes)” and “What Kind of Man Would I Be.” His solo work began with the album Introducing Stokley, followed by Sankofa, and includes the songs “Level” and “She...” Mint Condition joined Prince on the Welcome 2 America tour, where Stokley performed as the group’s singer and percussionist on arena stages including Madison Square Garden. After launching his solo career, he built headline sets around “Level,” later solo material and songs from the Mint Condition catalog.
