Susana Zabaleta in Mexico City

Susana Zabaleta is a Mexican soprano, singer and actress, born in Monclova in 1964. Her repertoire covers opera, musical theatre, bolero and pop, while her recordings include ¿O... fue un sueño?, Desde el baño and Amarrados, a collaboration with songwriter Armando Manzanero. Her screen credits include the film Sexo, pudor y lágrimas. She appeared in Mexican productions of Cats and The Phantom of the Opera after training as a classical singer. Her concert work later placed boleros and romantic songs at the centre of the programme, including performances connected to Amarrados with Armando Manzanero.
