Sven Väth in Ibiza

Sven Väth is a German DJ and producer, born in Obertshausen in 1964, whose music spans techno, trance and electronic dance music. He first reached a wide audience as part of OFF through “Electrica Salsa,” then released solo albums including Accident in Paradise and The Harlequin, the Robot and the Ballet-Dancer. He also founded Cocoon Recordings. In 1988, he co-founded the Omen club in Frankfurt and served as a resident DJ until it closed in 1998. The following year, he launched Cocoon’s Ibiza residency at Amnesia, establishing a long-running series of club nights. His festival history also includes repeated performances at Time Warp in Mannheim.
